 Shree Bai Maataki Jai

Happy Navratri to all

Today is the Sixth day of Navratri and tonight we pray to Durga Shakti Maa Katyayani, In this form Durga is four-armed and she carries a sword, shield and lotus. One hand is depicted as giving blessing. She rides a lion.  She is easily propitiated by devotion and destroys all sins of her devotees. She is the combined radiance of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, and she liberates us from fear. Her worship is conducive to Dharma, wealth, pleasures and salvation.

May the ever watchful Durga Devi Maa Kartyayani, who holds shining Chandrahasa (Sword) in Devi's hand and rides a magnificent lion and destroys the demons, bestow welfare on me.

She is Golden in color, possesses ten hands and 3 eyes. Eight of her hands display weapons while the remaining two are respectively in the mudras of gestures of boon giving and stopping harm. Navratri - Night/Day 1

Shree Bai Maataki Jai

Happy Navratri to all

Navratri symbolizes the victory of Positivity over Negativity. The Term Navratri in sanskrit stands for nine nights. During these nine nights and ten days, the three forms of the goddess - Maa Parvati, Maa Lakshmi and Maa Saraswathi - are invoked also known as NavaDurga. NavaDurga means nine manifestation of Goddess Durga.

These nine forms of manifestation are
  1. Maa Sailaputrī,
  2. Maa Brahmachārinī,
  3. Maa Chandraghantā,
  4. Maa Kushmāndā,
  5. Maa Skandamātā,
  6. Maa Kārtyāyanī,
  7. Maa Kālarātrī,
  8. Maa Mahāgaurī
  9. Maa Siddhidātrī;
Each night of Navratri we pray and invite the each form of the NavaDurga to bless us. May the illustrious Maa Shailputri Durga whom I salute and whose head is adorned by a halfmoon, who rides nandi, a bull and carries a spear fulfill the desires of my heart. She is known as 1st phase of Durga when she took birth as the daughter of Great Himalayas. Today I will pray to Maa Sailaputrī to bless us all with Happiness, Joy and Prosperity.

Jai Maa Sailaputrī
WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY NAVRATRI
